Beeb (Steve) and I almost always eat lunch together ever since we first met, which was during lunch almost over 3 and a half years ago. Working only a few blocks away from each makes it easy to do so.
This time during our lunch break we went to the Farmer's Market at CG and bought a few things. Not too many new and exciting produce. The Heirloom Tomatoes were also getting a little soft, so I didn't get any. I did get onions, grapes, radishes and spinach. We also bought several apples so we can make Apple Butter to spread on crostinis and fry bread. I can't wait!
Although we didn't buy much we were running out of time to actually eat lunch. So we rushed to Leila Mediterranean Cuisine on the third floor to grab lunch to take back to eat while on the clock. Steve ordered Number 8, Gyro and I ordered Number 6, the Salmon Kabob. Just to be a little fatter I also got Rice Pudding. I didn't get to take pictures of Steve's food because he had to rush to the Montgomery Bart Station to take the next train to Embarcadero, but I was able to take pictures of mine.
I've been eating here off and on since my first job in the financial district 7 years ago. The food is pretty consistent and satisfying if you want a quick taste of a few Mediterranean delights.

Beefy Indian Fry Bread Taco with Orange Salsa(08/22/09)
I've been making lots and lots of Indian Fry Bread since I learned how a month ago. So far I don't think I can get tired of this flat bread. For dinner I made the Fry Bread and Steve cooked the steak. We had a couple hand fulls of yellow cherry tomatoes and serrano chile peppers we bought from the CG Farmer's Market so we combined our ideas to make an Orange Salsa to go with our Beefy Indian Fry Bread Tacos.

Saturday Afternoon Barbeque
Last couple of Saturdays ago we visited Steve's brother, Jerm and his girlfriend Jen to feast on veggie kabobs, lots of meat, and the most delicious cake I have ever tasted, Crushed Almond Cake, that their roommate brought. We contributed a few pounds of Marinated Short Ribs to the bbq. I had food pains at the end but it was so worth it. I wish I had taken a picture of that cake. I'll buy one next time, I hope it'll still taste as good as that first time.
Below are other photos from the barbeque.
